Designed as the ultimate sub-gun ammo, and built with all new components, the TCX9-Subsonic is a 135 grain, 9mm Luger+P Solid Copper Defensive round.
The TCX9S offers a muzzle velocity of 975 feet per second and 285 ft/lbs of muzzle energy, as tested in a standard Glock 17, 4.49 inch barrel.
DEFIANT MUNITIONS uses only the highest quality primers, powder, brass casings and projectiles in all of our Premium Defensive ammunition.
TCX (Total Copper X-panding) ammunition incorporates a 100% solid copper projectile, with both interior and exterior serrations to ensure maximum expansion. There is no bi-metalic bonding to separate or otherwise fail, as can occur with JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles.
The result is consistent penetration that meets or exceeds FBI standards, and expansion that reliably outperforms typical JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles.

We test every lot of ammunition for muzzle velocity, muzzle energy, penetration depth, expansion rate and weight retention to the highest standards. We go the extra mile to ensure maximum performance and consistency. Additionally, every round is inspected and chamber checked by hand before packaging.
Don't be fooled by the price. Most quality defensive ammo is packaged 20 to a box. The Defiant Munitions TCX9 is packaged 50 rounds per box, because you should have the same ammo in your spare magazine as you do in your primary.

Preferred self defense ammo
I compared this to HST 147 grain in a suppressed P320, a suppressed FN 509T, and a Masada Slim. This is a little softer shooting than the HST and quieter through my suppressors. What's not to like?

Ran fantastically thru my Springfield Echelon!
I love that this ammo is 135gr, & adapted to being suppressed at that weight, rather than being a generic 147gr bullet from yester-year. I have no issues whatsoever using it with the Springfield Echelon. It's difficult to contend against Federal's HST, but this Defiant Munitions cartridge is so impressive in gel tests, that I've already replaced my Federal loads!

135 grain TCX subsonic
A truly fantastic round. Since discovering this ammunition, it rapidly became my go to with my SBR HK SP5 and Omega 9k Silencer. Easy, smooth and accurate. Additionally, Pete Pi is an incredible man to talk to should the need arise. Love the company and really love their ammunition. Customer for life now.

Exactly what they say it is.
I just tested these in 10% ballistic gel. @ 3 meters - expansion starts at 1", full expansion by 4" and round stopped 10". The bullet looks exactly as it does in the photo pedal tip to pedal tip 3/4" and round weighed exactly 135 gr. I will be buying more 135 and the 115 gr rounds.

Perfection! Meticulous construction and materials, functioned flawlessly in Sig, H&K, and Glock, consistent groupings from 15 to 25. Customer service and follow up without exception. Plan on purchasing more 9mm when available, and encourage development of additional calibers, for example .357, .45, even 38 spl. match.
