7.62x39 190gr TCX-S (Total Copper X-panding) Sub-sonic Defensive Ammunition
Built with American made, premium brass casings, the TCXS76239190 is a 190 grain, 7.62x39 caliber Solid Copper, Subsonic Defensive round, with a muzzle velocity of 1,000 feet per second and 422 ft/lbs of muzzle energy, as tested in an OCCAM Defense 1776, 14.5 inch, 1 in 9.5 twist barrel.

TCX (Total Copper X-panding) ammunition incorporates a 100% solid copper projectile, with both interior and exterior serrations to ensure maximum expansion.
There is no bi-metallic bonding to separate or otherwise fail, as can occur with JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles. The result is consistent penetration that meets or exceeds FBI standards, and expansion that reliably outperforms typical JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles.

We test every lot of ammunition for muzzle velocity, muzzle energy, penetration depth, expansion rate and weight retention to the highest standards. We go the extra mile to ensure maximum performance and consistency. Additionally, every round is inspected and chamber checked by hand before packaging.
ATTENTION CUSTOMERS planning to use this sub-sonic ammunition in semi-automatic firearms:
Not all semi-automatic firearms are alike. Some gas ports are smaller than others, and in this instance (gas port) size matters.
While the vast majority of factory semi-automatic firearms will run this ammunition without issue, the lower muzzle velocity required to keep this ammunition sub-sonic may create cycling issues for some semi-automatic firearms with finely tuned gas ports.
If you experience this issue, it can likely be overcome by installing a lighter recoil spring, installing an adjustable gas block and/or increasing the diameter of the gas port.
Defiant Munitions recommends that all firearms repair and modification work be accomplished by a licensed and competent gunsmith.

7.62x39 190gr TCX Subsonic
Ruger American Ranch Gen 1 with Dead Air Sandman S Consistent group at 50 yards no keyholes. The nose of these bullets are wide and could cause issues feeding in some mags and/or firearms. AR15 mags did not seat high enough and nose would hang up at the base of the feed ramp. Switched to mini 30 5 round mag well and mags no issues. BRN-180 would not feed with 10 round AR mags until I downloaded to 5 rounds and opened up the front end of the feed lips to angle the bullets up more. Seems ok now I need to try some different brand msgs. Mags used are Duramags and ASC.. I plan to hunt with big game with these I will try to update on expansion if successful.

Absolutely killer product
Shoot these out of my Ruger Rancher bolt gun and they are killer! Dead silent with the Hybrid 46 can. Very accurate. Killed a 200lb boar at 75 yards and dropped him in his tracks. Highly recommend these to anyone looking for subsonic x39 round!!

Awesome product.Shot this 170 lb boar with the 7.62x39 TCX 190 grain subsonic at 75 yards and he only went about 50 yards and fell over dead. Best shooting x39 round iv found. My gun is a Ruger rancher x39 with hybrid 46 can. Add the defiant ammunition with it and it’s deadly! .

As I said before in my 308 review this ammo is above and beyond my expectations mature 8 pointer at 80yards and the bullet entered right shoulder and left a huge exit hole in left shoulder awesome hunting ammo for my family kids love it also with the less recoil
