I’m proud to announce the new Defiant Munitions TCX-SDH, 9mm “work ammo”.
The DM TCX-SDH Cartridge & Bullet design is a collaborative effort of Pete Pi Jr. of Defiant Munitions & Super Dave Harrington of Combatspeed LLC.
We wanted to provide a 9mm +P cartridge that would be accurate at its weight and velocity with superior terminal performance at 100 yards,
thereby increasing the 9mm’s effective range, whether being fired from a pistol, and/or a pistol caliber carbine.
Out of the Pete/SD think tank is the Defiant Munitions TCX-SDH Cartridge.
The Cartridge Case is a proprietary +P case using a CCI 500 primer. The bullet is a Solid Copper 125 grain 9mm, Boat Tail, TCX (6 petal) Hollow
point loaded at +P performance levels.
The DM TCX-SDH Cartridge provides 1,372 FPS out of a 10-inch Pistol Caliber Carbine barrel.
The DM TCX-SDH Cartridge provides 1,225 FPS out of a 4.49-inch G-17 barrel.

DEFIANT MUNITIONS uses only the highest quality primers, powder, brass casings and projectiles in all of our Premium Defensive ammunition.
TCX (Total Copper X-panding) ammunition incorporates a 100% solid copper projectile, with both interior and exterior serrations to ensure maximum expansion. There is no bi-metallic bonding to separate or otherwise fail, as can occur with JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles. The result is consistent penetration that meets or exceeds FBI standards, and expansion that reliably outperforms typical JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles.
All of our defensive auto pistol brass (except our subsonic line) is case cannelured in house to prevent bullet setback.
Why is this important? Bullet setback can occur with a pistol malfunction, or from chambering the same round over and over again. This can lead to possible CATASTROPHIC failure. The cannelure line puts a “crimp line” where the base of the bullet ends up. So if bullet setback were to occur, the bullet will NOT push past the cannelure line. It’s a time consuming process, therefore, VERY few ammunition companies cannelure their brass. Here at Defiant Munitions we want our customers to have nothing but the BEST, most reliable round possible. Extra steps will always be taken here to ensure the safety and quality of our products.
At DEFIANT MUNITIONS, we don’t simply test each new product upon release. We test every lot of ammunition for muzzle velocity, muzzle energy, penetration depth, expansion rate and weight retention to the highest standards. We go the extra mile to ensure maximum performance and consistency.
Additionally, every round is inspected and chamber checked by hand before packaging.

Extremely happy with these! shot several through water jugs fronted with wet cardboard and multiple layers of denim and the recovered rounds expanded perfectly! Definitely as advertised. I don't think I will find anything to outmatch the tax-sdh in the solid copper hollow point category. Hopefully this gleaming, and completely honest, review will earn me a heavily discounted or even free box of fifty!

Self defense ammo

125 gr+p TCX-SDH
I have shot several of these bullets into Clear Ballistics Gel using the FBI thick clothing protocol as a barrier. They’ve been shot from G43, G19, and G17. Every one has expanded fully to 0.80” or slightly larger and every one has penetrated 14” to 15”. I’m sorry I don’t have velocities to report, but the most important message is consistency in various barrel lengths. These bullets would undoubtedly do the trick; we’re talking about .40 S&W performance in gel from a 9mm. This could be the very best carry ammo on the market.

9MM LUGER 125 GR +P TCX-SDH
I finally got to the range with ammo ! I shot several kinds of ammo that day. The Defiant 9MM LUGER 125 GR +P TCX-SDH was the most accurate ! It ran through my 2 PC Charger 9mm perfectly. Highly recommended !

Chronograph done
I have a few boxes of these now and before buying these I was carrying the Defiant Munitions TCX 115gr I just wanted to write a little review of the Chronograph results. for both the 115gr and these 125gr It was about 82 outside and sunny. elevation was 2,368 not that it matters much. Anyway the average of the 125s were 1160 and the average of the 115s were 1217 this was out of a PDP 4" I like the 125s over the 115 but that's just me and after seeing these results I'm only getting about 57 less in this average. So I will be staying with the 125gr Defiant Munitions TCX-SDH. Keep up the good work Defiant! PS I also just posted a review for 380 TCX with the chronograph done today on them as well.

SDH is the best
Using this ammo in my Glock 34 with big dots off a sandbag I can shoot fist sized groups at 50 yards, this is hands down the best ammo I've ever shot

125 +P SDH
Impressed w/quality of ammo & customer Svc is the best. This bullet is very accurate in Ruger PCC & recoil feels more like Std pressure, as does 115 TCX when fired in p365. Very low recoil fr 135 sub sonic
