Built with all new components, the TCX9115 is a 115 grain, 9mm Luger+P Solid Copper Defensive round.
The TCX9115 offers a muzzle velocity of 1,275 feet per second and 415 ft/lbs of muzzle energy, as tested in a standard Glock 17, 4.49 inch barrel.
DEFIANT MUNITIONS uses only the highest quality primers, powder, brass casings and projectiles in all of our Premium Defensive ammunition.
TCX (Total Copper X-panding) ammunition incorporates a 100% solid copper projectile, with both interior and exterior serrations to ensure maximum expansion. There is no bi-metallic bonding to separate or otherwise fail, as can occur with JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles. The result is consistent penetration that meets or exceeds FBI standards, and expansion that reliably outperforms typical JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles.
All of our defensive auto pistol brass (except our subsonic line) is case cannelured in house to prevent bullet setback.
Why is this important? Bullet setback can occur with a pistol malfunction, or from chambering the same round over and over again. This can lead to possible CATASTROPHIC failure. The cannelure line puts a “crimp line” where the base of the bullet ends up. So if bullet setback were to occur, the bullet will NOT push past the cannelure line. It’s a time consuming process, therefore, VERY few ammunition companies cannelure their brass. best damn ammo you can get
This is currently the only ammo I run in my 9 mm guns for defense. I have it in a Walther PPS mod , Glock 43, Glock 26, Glock 19, S&W shield and a Sig 226. Matter of fact if they make a round for a caliber gun I own it has defiant in it

Consistent expander
Clear Ballistics Gel test yesterday through FBI thick clothing protocol. These went 13” and 13.5” from my G43 and G17, respectively. and expanded to 0.73” and 0.72”That is one big hole. To put it in perspective, Winchester White Box 180 gr JHP in 40 S & W expanded to 0.71” and penetrated to 15”. This is great ammo!
