.223 55gr TCX Solid Copper Defensive Ammunition
This TCX223 is a 55 grain, .223 Solid Copper Defensive round, with a muzzle velocity of 3,100 feet per second and 1,174 ft/lbs of muzzle energy, as tested in a 18.0 inch 1/8 twist barrel.
Packaged 20 rounds per box, we build these to our exacting standards to ensure you have only the most consistent and reliable defensive ammo available.
DEFIANT MUNITIONS uses only the highest quality primers, powder, brass casings and projectiles in all of our Premium Defensive ammunition.
TCX (Total Copper X-panding) ammunition incorporates a 100% solid copper projectile, with both interior and exterior serrations to ensure maximum expansion. There is no bi-metallic bonding to separate or otherwise fail, as can occur with JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles. The result is consistent penetration that meets or exceeds FBI standards, and expansion that reliably outperforms typical JHP (Jacketed HollowPoint) projectiles.
The brass for this ammunition receives a proprietary, TPD plating giving 5X the lubricity compared to non-plated brass. This corrosion resistant plating won't crack or flake, like nickle plating can, and improves extraction and ejection of spent brass.

Not only is Defiant Munitions the best ammo on the planet but they are family oriented and generous. I will be a customer for life. With a 11.5 barrel at 50 yards it performed amazing in to a gel block. About 14.5" of penitration and about a 2.5" wide wound track. I wish I could post a picture in this review Pete.

I will bet my life on this
I ordered this ammo because I heard great reviews on it form Yeager. I normally run controlled chaos but they were out of stock so I gave Defiant a try. I took it hunting last weekend and shot a pig... All I can say is Fuck that thing dropped on the spot. Normally I shoot them in the head but I shot it in the shoulder to see what this would do at 82 yards with a 10" barrel. This stuff is the shit. I will defiantly buy more and the way this performed in the pig I will bet my life on it for shooting anything. Thank you Pete!!!

Hogs
I dropped two hogs with both 9mm and 223 TCX. I was paid by a buddy to eradicate a couple hogs on his property, in the past I have used Barnes and Hornady all copper rounds and the Defiant caused substantially more damage, and none of the situations did I care to retrieve the projectiles but the entrance and exits from the TCX we’re damn near perfectly straight through with zero deviation, The exit from the 556 left a golf ball size hole removing brain matter and skeletal fragments, the 9mm did the same with a quarter sized exit hole. I would not hesitate to use said ammunition in much more dangerous, two legged predators. Shipping was fast and the owner is a good dude… I will be a customer for years to come.
